Community Strengthening
LEGABIBO is committed to strengthening LGBTQ+ communities through empowerment, capacity building, and inclusive engagement.
Advocacy
LEGABIBO advances strategic advocacy aimed at promoting equality, non-discrimination, and protection from violence.
Research & Knowledge Production
LEGABIBO generates and curates research and knowledge to inform advocacy, programming, and public discourse on the rights of LGBTQ+ communities and gender equality.
Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights & HIV Testing
LEGABIBO promotes access to reproductive health information and services for LGBTQ+ persons and other marginalised communities. Our SRHR work responds to persistent barriers such as stigma, discrimination, misinformation, and exclusion from mainstream health systems.
We engage health services providers, policymakers, and community members to promote respectful, non-discriminatory, and affirming healthcare. This includes advocacy for inclusive health policies, sensitisation and capacity-building for service providers, and referral pathways that support safe access to care.
Through community education and outreach, LEGABIBO provides accurate information on sexual health, bodily autonomy, consent, and well-being. Our work recognises that sexual and reproductive health is inseparable from dignity, equality, and freedom from violence.
By advancing inclusive SRHR, we contribute to improved health outcomes, reduced vulnerability, and the realisation of fundamental human rights for all.
Services We Provide
- Routine HIV Testing and Counselling – Testing, initiation into treatment (ART)
- Support LGBTI people to access support for retention, adherence and ART literacy
- Promotion of viral load testing among KPLHIV by following up and referring KPLHIV who are due for viral load testing
- Distribution of commodities (condoms, lubricants, Dental Dams, finger cots)
- Creating Demand and linking LGBTIQ+ people to access Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
Our Drop-In Centres
All Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and HIV services, including testing, counselling, referrals, and linkage to care can be accessed through our Drop-In Centres.

Psychosocial Support
We offer psychosocial support for LGBTQ+ persons, parents and family of the LGBTIQ+ community. Our services are confidential and are handled by counsellors with extensive experience in this field.
